An educational estimate on the Fund's published rules and your assumed return. The Fund's own statement and rules decide the real figures.
Of रू 2,596 a month, रू 1,686 is your own old-age fund and रू 910 buys cover. Over 120 months you pay in रू 3,11,520; at 6.00% the fund holds रू 2,76,241 when you stop and रू 9,14,414 at 60. Divided by 160, that is रू 5,715 every month for life.
120 months is under the 180 the pension rule asks for; at 60 you take the lump sum, or the Fund lets you choose the monthly pension instead.
The protection part is not lost money: on a base of रू 12,171 it covers hospital treatment up to NPR 1,00,000 a year, a lifetime pension of 60% of the base on permanent disability, 60% for the spouse and 40% education for two children if the contributor dies, and NPR 25,000 for the last rites.

- Register on sosys.ssf.gov.np, or let WTS SSF Saathi do the KYC and set up payment from the account you already have.
- Try the maximum (3×): the cover rises with the base, and the pension nearly triples.
- Compare with CIT on the "SSF vs CIT" tool before choosing where the monthly money goes.
- Foreign-employment contributor scheme: 21.33% of the industrial minimum basic wage, choosable up to 3×; 13.85 points old-age, 7.48 protection. Minimum NPR 2596 a month as the Fund quotes it (checked 2026-09-23; the minimum wage changes by gazette).
- Return: contributions at each month end, compounding monthly at the rate you set; the Fund declares its actual return each year.
- Pension = old-age fund ÷ 160, for life, from 60 with 180 months paid; under 180 months the Fund pays the lump sum or lets you choose the pension.
- Contributions stop at 60 at the latest; between the last payment and 60 the fund only grows.
- Whether the fund can be withdrawn on returning to Nepal before 60 is the Fund's rule to state — ask before planning on it.

A worked example
The form starts with these figures (in NPR) so you can see how it works before typing your own. They are made up — nobody's real numbers appear here.
Questions people ask
What is the least I can pay?
21.33% of the industrial minimum basic wage — about NPR 2596 a month today. It moves when the government revises the minimum wage.
And the most?
Up to three times the minimum base. A bigger base means a bigger old-age fund and bigger cover, since the family and disability benefits are percentages of the base.
What do I get when I come home?
Your old-age fund keeps growing until 60. Whether it can be taken out earlier is the Fund's rule — check with SSF or WTS before counting on it; the page shows the fund on the day contributions stop so you know the figure.
Pension or lump sum?
At 60 with 180 months paid you get a lifetime monthly pension of the fund ÷ 160 — about 13 years' worth, then it keeps coming. Under 180 months you take the lump sum, or the Fund lets you opt for the pension.
Is the return guaranteed?
No. The Fund declares what it earned each year. Set the rate low to see a cautious answer.
Do you keep what I type here?
No. The figures are used to work out the answer and are not stored, and never appear in the page address.

These WTS services relate to what you just worked out. Using the calculator does not sign you up for anything.
These are estimates. The figures depend entirely on the numbers you enter and on assumptions that are listed on every result. They are not financial advice, and a bank, employer or authority may use different rules. Check anything important with them before you decide.
We do not keep your figures. Salary, debt and savings you type here are used to work out the answer and are not stored, and never appear in the page address. The only thing remembered is your country and language choice (a small cookie), so the currency can be suggested next time — never a figure you typed. Anonymous counters record that a calculation happened, not what it was.
